Meet Dr. Clark
Dr. Charlie Clark is originally from Comfort, Texas. Dr. Clark graduated high school from Texas Military Institute in San Antonio, Texas; received his undergraduate degree from Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas; his dental degree from Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, Texas; and served 12 years of active duty before leaving the US Army in 2018. He currently serves as a Commander in the US Navy Reserves. During his time in the Army, he attended a one year Advanced Education in General Dentistry Program in Fort Benning, Georgia, and his residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Eisenhower Medical Center/Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, Georgia.
Dr. Clark enjoys practicing the full scope of oral & maxillofacial surgical procedures to include dental alveolar surgery, dental implant surgery, soft tissue grafting, trauma management, cosmetic surgery, orthognathic surgery, facial repair on patients with cleft lip and palate, and oral cancer surgery. He was selected for the Army’s specialty Head and Neck surgical team in Iraq, attending to patients with explosive and gunshot injuries to the face. After his deployment, he was assigned as Associate Director for the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery training program at Brooke Army Medical Center.
Dr. Clark is Board Certified in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery by the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and in Dental Anesthesiology by the National Board of Dental Anesthesiology. He is a member of the American Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, Southwest Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, American Dental Society of Anesthesiology, Chalmers Lyons Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Honorary Society and the Hill Country District Dental Society. He has served as a delegate to the Texas Dental Association and served on the board of the Texas Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Political Action Committee.
Dr. Clark is widely published and lectures locally, nationally and internationally on dental implants, facial reconstruction and maxillofacial trauma. He served as the Director for the Navy Reserves Advanced Trauma Life Support Program and currently is an instructor for the Advanced Trauma Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, and Pediatric Advanced Life Support Courses.
In his time away from practice, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Heidi, and son Carson. He loves attending Texas A&M athletic events, and is an avid hunter and fisherman.
